About

The Center Advocacy Project

The Center Advocacy Project, is a non-partisan, 501 C4 organization whose mission is to secure equal civil and human rights for the LGBT and allied communities through public education and issue advocacy. Using a dynamic corps of volunteers, the Center Advocacy Project educates the general public about the fundamental social issues that affect the LGBT and allied communities: from hate violence, to employment discrimination, to school safety and anti-bullying legislation and practices, to repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”, furthering relationship recognition and equal benefits practices and toward achieving marriage equality for all.

Activities of the Center Advocacy Project include: providing electronic information and resources regarding equality issues to interested community members, providing speakers and issue educators to a wide variety of interested community groups, as well as working with local, state, and federal community partners to educate elected officials and the public about the importance of a variety of equal protection and equal benefit laws for LGBT people.
